LAS VEGAS — Epoxy Inc. has signed an agreement with Japan Tobacco International (JTI) to develop a Power by Epoxy loyalty application for the company to use in convenience stores.

The partnership, with an initial 12-month term, will launch a pilot program in January 2017 that will be offered in locations in the Southwest. The next phase of the program will expand into neighboring regions.

Epoxy’s launch with the Speedee Mart c-store chain at 20 locations in Las Vegas piqued JTI’s interest, the company said, because Geneva, Switzerland-based JTI has been looking at mobile applications to enhance its marketing.

The Powered by Epoxy platform offers age verification and product pricing for customers and sales reps.

Epoxy will build the JTI Powered by Epoxy application, assist and train JTI’s sales representatives on features and assist in future development and maintenance of the system.

“Since our system doesn’t require any equipment, this is a very simple solution for convenience stores to adopt,” Jolene Williams, spokesperson for Epoxy, told CSP Daily News. “The application allows JT International to offer tools that allow sales representatives to run different marketing programs, reward and update customers in real time, track contests, reinvest marketing dollars to the staff and customers of convenience stores and more. This is done via a free mobile application that customers can download on iOS and Android markets.”

Las Vegas-based Epoxy is the developer of the Epoxy App for iPhone iOS and Android operating systems.
