CVS Adding 70 New Snack and Grocery Products
WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Pharmacy is adding 70 new private-label snack and grocery items on shelves across the United States through December.
The new lineup is part of its exclusive Gold Emblem label and features bold flavors; ingredients such as quinoa, chia, kale and seaweed; and no artificial flavors and preservatives.
When CVS Pharmacy ended the sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products in 2014, it committed to offer healthier on-the-go foods for customers. Gold Emblem Abound is its own line of snack and grocery products.
Select CVS Pharmacy stores nationwide will offer 20 new nutritional sweet and salty snacks and pantry items in the Gold Emblem Abound line, including:
- Dry Roasted Sea Salt Edamame
- Organic Maple Syrup
- Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew Nut Bar
- Veggie Straws
- Quinoa Kale Puffs (White Cheddar)
- Seaweed Crisps (available in Almond Sesame & Pumpkin)
- BBQ Quinoa Chia Chips
- Pomegranate Fruit & Nut Blend
In addition to the Gold Emblem Abound line, the Gold Emblem line will add 50 new products this fall, including:
- Cheddar Bacon Flavored Cracker Coated Peanuts
- Cracker Coated Almonds (available in Sweet BBQ and Sriracha)
- Kettle Cooked Peanuts (available in Plain, Salt & Pepper and Jalapeno)
- Almonds (available in Smoked Hickory, BBQ Habanero, Chocolate Cocoa, Tamari and Vanilla Buttercream)
- Pretzel Nuggets (Buffalo and Honey Mustard)
- Dark Chocolate Coconut and Almond Crunch
Suggested retail prices range from $2.99 to $7.99, with a variety of package sizes.
