Cooper’s Express Unveils New Breakfast Program
HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. — Cooper’s Express is offering a new breakfast menu that includes eight on-the-go breakfast items that are fast and easy for retailers to prepare.
A branded chicken-program option offered by Champs Chicken, Cooper’s Express has more than 150 quick-serve deli locations in the northwestern United States, and its new breakfast program will give consumers the quality and freshness they seek.
The menu has been successful at Tri County Co-op convenience store in Chokio, Minn., according to the store’s general manager. The store recently reopened in March with the full Cooper’s Express breakfast, lunch and dinner program.
“We are very satisfied with the Cooper’s breakfast program in our store,” siad Karen Ebbet, general manger for Tri County Co-op. “It’s very quick and easy to prepare, and the customers enjoy it.”
Ebbet said the store sells about 30 breakfast meals per day. She said the most popular item is the sausage, egg and cheese croissant, which makes up about half of the store’s breakfast sales.
“Customers prefer the croissant sandwiches when on the go, but we also have regulars that always come in and enjoy items like our biscuits and gravy,” Ebbet said.
The Cooper’s Express breakfast menu also includes a larger bake-off buttermilk biscuit along with a hickory-smoked ham slice. Breakfast items are served right out of a sandwich slider/warmer or hot case.
Cooper’s Express menus meet the forthcoming U.S. Food and Drug Administration-mandated, caloric menu-labeling requirements, according to the company.
Pro Food Systems Inc. is the parent company of Champs Chicken and Cooper’s Express. It distributes its chicken and other products out of the company’s 65,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and national distribution center located in Holts Summit, Mo.
